Plumbing Project manager

Prospect Construction, Inc began as a General Contractor, specializing in the water and wastewater treatment industries. Prospect Construction’s success in the technical, complicated nature of water and wastewater treatment plant construction has allowed seamless crossover to other fields of construction, including cogeneration, biogas treatment, fish facilities, utilities, bridges and building projects.

 

Prospect Construction, Inc is currently seeking a Plumbing Project Manager/Estimator for either one of our locations.

An excellent Plumbing Project Manager/Estimator must be well-versed in construction methodologies and procedures. Must be able to perform and lead all project stages of construction (estimating, buy out, construction, and closeout). The ideal candidate shall have an analytical mindset and who is self-motivated.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides direct supervision and maintains overall responsibility for the management of construction and quality control activities.

  • Good attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies

  • Strong work ethic - willing to do what it takes to get the job done

  • Determine needed resources from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations

  • Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines be met

  • Takeoff and price self-performed work – Plumbing and Mechanical

  • Manage solicitations during bidding

  • Assist field crews with work plans and execution

  • Develop comparison matrix spreadsheets

Knowledge & Skills 

  • Knowledge of Blue Beam, Windows Office System

  • Competent in specification, plan, and drawings reading and interpretations

  • Ability to prepare and deliver clear and concise oral and written communication

  • Demonstrate team and leadership skills

qualifications

  • Has a commercial plumbing license in the State of Washington (PL01)

  • Ability to perform in a lead capacity

Physical Demands and Work environment 

This job requires the employee to sit, climb, stand, and lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.

Employee will be required to travel to construction job sites.

The employee may be required to wear appropriate PPE equipment such as a hard hat, protective footwear, high visibility clothing, and safety glasses.
