Treatment Plant SUPERINTENDENT

Prospect Construction is currently seeking a Treatment Plant Superintendent with an background in Structural and Mechanical Systems to join our team based out of our Washington office.

This is a full-time, ongoing position. The initial assignment is located at the West Point Wastewater Treatment Plant in Seattle, WA, and upon completion, the employee will transition to future projects within the company.

ROLE: Treatment Plant Superintendent
​​The Superintendent is solely responsible for and will be held accountable for the timely completion of the project and ensuring that the project is constructed in strict accordance with plans, specifications, and local codes. Project Superintendent shall schedule all subcontractors, consultants, and vendors, as well as ensure their completion of work within time allowed. The Project Superintendent shall be responsible for the coordination of work directed in the field and provide work performed in accordance with plans and specifications. Conflicts or revisions to the plan shall be communicated with the project team (i.e., PM, engineer, consultant, owner) for mutual resolution prior to execution of work that deviates from the approved plans. The Project Superintendent shall establish and enforce job site quality control programs to ensure quality completion of construction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in critical path to ensure timely completion, gather project material submittals and maintain records of approvals at the jobsite.

Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed.

Communicate with project team regarding ASI’s, RFI’s, and Material Submittals, and Assist in budgeting, bidding, and award of subcontracts, assist in obtaining permits or approval of revisions.

Ensure that subcontractors are executing and complying with contracted scope of work and complying with safety, health, and environmental quality standards.

Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions.

Maintain daily written log of activities on the jobsite.

Walk project daily to monitor activities and assist in future planning and Perform job progress and completion punch list identification and completion.

Preside over weekly subcontractor meetings designed to coordinate the work, Preside at pre-construction meeting with each subcontractor.

Issue notices of non-compliance to subcontractors in regard to quality of work or scheduling

Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, blueprints, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Write routine reports and correspondence.

Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

Provide directions to and resolve problems among subcontractors and vendors.

Identify deficient work and provide resolution.

Communicate using the following tools: telephone, fax machine, written logs, email, computer, smart phone, digital camera.

Qualifications Required:

Minimum of Five (5) years of verifiable heavy civil experience required.

Experience managing complex self perform projects with aspects of Structural, Mechanical and Civil components.

Proficiency in Blue Beam, Microsoft office (Excel, word, project & Outlook)

Blueprint reading.

Physically able to safely lift up to 75lbs.

Endurance and ability to visit entire job site, including stairs or other elevated structures.

Strong experience in Leadership, safety, negotiations, planning, and contract administration.

Abide by Prospect Safety and Health policies, monitor jobsite general health and safety.
