Job Title: Union Laborer

Location: Great Falls/ Havre, MT

Compensation: Hourly + Fringe benefits

Prospect Construction is a Heavy Civil Contractor that specializes in water and wastewater treatment plants, hydraulic structures/facilities, shoring systems, large concrete tanks, pump stations/process facilities, dewatering, major excavations, structural steel, process equipment, and mechanical systems. Prospect began as a General Contractor in 1998, with our first office location in Puyallup Washington. Over the last few decades, Prospect has coupled its expertise in complex projects with its vast level of self-performance to grow into one of the premier treatment plant contractors in the Northwest. This continued growth has allowed Prospect to bring our expertise into new geographical regions, beginning with the establishment of our new permanent office in Missoula in the Fall of 2020. We are excited about the continued success of our Missoula Branch, and the new opportunities that are developing in the region.

Job Description:

• Operate equipment/ tools in compliance with the company’s operating safety policies and procedures.

• Properly follow all company policies and procedures in accordance with the OSHA and MSHA regulations for safe working practices and environments.

• Locate utilities and other buried lines prior to digging.

• Shovel earth/dirt to prepare ground for trenches for pipes/ dig up existing pipes and other debris with manual tools as needed.

• Connect multiple pipes together by sealing joints, which will entail using glue, cement, mechanical devices.

• Install new pipes around a property using an eclectic assortment of tools, including transit levels, grade rods and levels.

• Measure the surrounding area where the pipes are going to be installed and cut the pipes to match the allotted area

• Bury pipes and clean up the job site when completed

Qualifications: 

• Current member of the Laborers Union or willing to sign up.
