Job Title: Union Carpenter Foreman

Location: Seattle, WA 

Compensation: Hourly Pay- Public Works/ Prevailing Wage Projects- $51.10/ hr.

Fringe Benefits: $19.01/hr. through the union. 

Prospect Construction, Inc began as a General Contractor, specializing in the water and wastewater treatment industries. Prospect Construction’s success in the technical, complicated nature of water and wastewater treatment plant construction has allowed seamless crossover to other fields of construction, including cogeneration, biogas treatment, fish facilities, utilities, bridges and building projects.

 

Prospect Construction, Inc. is currently seeking a Carpenter Foreman to join our team at our Ship Canal Tunnel project. 

Responsibilities can include but are not limited to: 

  • Must be able to provide immediate supervision to a crew of carpenters.

  • Must be able to motivate direct reporting Carpenters to perform work in a timely, enthusiastic, safe, and quality focused manner.

  • Must be well adept at communicating field issues with the Superintendent, work towards finding a solution with the Superintendent, and relaying this information to carpenter crews.

  • Must have experience in Heavy Civil Carpentry/Concrete Forming on projects such as bridges, wastewater treatment plants, concrete storage tanks, industrial Buildings, and other heavy civil concrete structures.

  • Ability to read plans/lift drawings and understand how to build off given dimensions and elevations.

  • Ability to create a layout from survey hubs.

  • Experience in setting forms, setting up batter boards, preparing materials for forming/placing concrete.

  • Ability to recognize material needs and perform takeoffs necessary to complete the work.

  • Experience with finishing concrete.

  • Experience with Symons forms.

  • Ability to keep timecards of personnel managed.

  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications: 

  • Current member of the Northwest Carpenters Union or willing to sign up.
